Delete your Lulladay account
You can delete your Lulladay account and its data at any time, in the app or by email. This page explains how, and what is deleted and kept. Lulladay is made by Oded Duek.
In the app
- Open Lulladay and go to Settings → Account → Delete account.
- Read what will be deleted, type the word the app shows (DELETE in English) and tap Delete my account.
Your account is deleted right away. If you use Sign in with Apple on an iPhone, Apple asks you to confirm, so Lulladay can also end its Sign in with Apple connection.
By email, without the app
- Email [email protected] from your account's email address, with the subject “Delete my account”.
- We reply to that address to confirm that the request is yours.
- We delete the account within 30 days, usually much sooner, and tell you when it's done.
If you can't write from that address, for example because you used Apple's Hide My Email, write anyway and we'll find another safe way to confirm the account is yours.
Before you delete
- Deleting your account doesn't cancel your subscription. Cancel it in the App Store or Google Play first, or billing continues.
- If you own a family, deleting your account deletes the family's shared records for everyone. To keep the family going, first make someone else the owner in Settings → Family → Family members; they accept on their phone.
- Changes on your phone that haven't uploaded yet are lost.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in: your email address, your password and the link to your Google or Apple account.
- Your profile: the name other family members see.
- Your family membership. Your name is also removed from the entries you added or changed.
- If you own a family: the family and all its shared records on our server, including babies, entries, measurements and invitations.
- On your phone: the family's records, once the deletion is finished.
What is kept, and for how long
| What | Why and how long |
|---|---|
| Entries you added to a family you don't own | They are part of that family's diary, so they stay there without your name, for as long as the family keeps them. |
| Copies on other people's phones | Family members keep the records already on their phones as their own diary. We can't delete what is stored on their phones. |
| Records your phone keeps outside the account | A diary you used without an account, and any saved copies of diaries, stay on your phone until you delete them or the app. |
| Purchase records | The store, purchase ID, product, dates and status, with no link to your account. A subscription you paid for keeps working on the phone that bought it, and we keep a record of the sale for as long as tax and accounting rules require. |
| AI assistant usage records | The time, kind, size and cost of each request, with no text and no link to your account. Deleted 90 days after the request. |
| Backups and technical logs | Copies in our database provider's backups and logs expire within 30 days. |
| Emails you sent us | Kept in our mailbox to handle your request. Ask us, and we'll delete them too. |
Delete some data, keep your account
- An entry: open it and tap Delete. Its details and note are erased from our server; a small marker with only its type and time stays, so other phones remove it too.
- Leave a family: Settings → Family → Family members → Leave family. The entries you added stay with the family.
- Remove someone's copy: a family owner can remove a member with Remove and delete their copy.
- The AI assistant: turn it off in Settings → Privacy → AI assistant.
- Anything else: write to [email protected] and tell us what to delete.
Using Lulladay without an account?
Then there is no account to delete: your diary is only on your phone, and we never received it. To delete it, uninstall Lulladay (or clear its storage in your phone's settings) and delete any backup files you saved. Your phone's own backup, with Google or iCloud, may keep a copy until it is replaced or you delete it.
